Several summers ago on Lake Isabella, located in the high desert east of Bakersfield CA, some folks new to boats and boating, were having a problem with their new craft. No matter how hard they tried to get the boat trim and moving at a good clip the performance was extremely sluggish. When they went full throttle the boat performed only slightly better than at just above idle. After a frustrating hour they nursed the boat into a local marina and asked for help. An employee did a topside check and found all in good order...the engine ran well, the out-drive went up and down, the prop was the proper size and pitch...everyone was scratching their head. Finally the employee went and changed into his swim suit to take a look from the bottom up. He jumped into the water and was below for a max of 5 seconds before he surfaces choking and spitting water from unchecked laughing. Under the boat, still strapped securely in place, was the trailer!
I know some folks like these nuts, bet you do too.
