3 weeks ago news is old news.  There was a final? hearing on Apr 20th.  Don't know the outcome.

My family has had a place on Martin since 1968 so I'm not new to the lake or a outsider. I hope the people at Pleasure Point win. All of the powers that be knew what was going on there every since it started and they did not mind taking the money. Next the target will be the people that have places at the old Bama Park. Can't have poor rednecks on the lake. That seems to be the attitude of some folks now.

Uh, nope.  "Bama Park", Lake Marine RV Resort, consists of deeded lots with a sewer system that disposes of the waste far away from the lake.  Only resemblence is the lack of stick built houses.

Also, I take offense to you refering to people at LMRVR as "poor rednecks". Our community consists of physicians, major airline pilots, a Community College president, a former CFO of a major state agency, a court administrator, television news anchors, a Board of Education member, pharmaceutical representatives, company presidents, current and retired law enforcement officers, registered nurses, CPAs, PHDs, Information Technology specialists and a former MLB pitcher. This list does not even cover half of our population.

We first started out at LMRV 14 years ago and absolutely loved it there!  We only moved because we had a little one and it was hard to share a bedroom with an 18 month old.  LMRV is not a "redneck" community.  There are many high position people there that you mentioned.  The park is clean, very family friendly oriented.  We miss the community activities.  Our favorite was always decorating for the 4th of July and the 4th of July parade.  We would move back there in a heart beat.

You people missed the point. Don't get your feelings hurt. I was not calling you rednecks but that's what a bunch of the higher than mighty people that have moved in on the lake over the years refer to all of us that have older homes, fishing cabins, weekend getaways or trailers. The people that have million dollar homes don't want trailers (you call them RV's) sitting across the slough from their places, it devalues the property. Don't fool yourselfs if the man wants your property they'll get it. Had relatives that lost land in Tallahassee and West Point when those lakes were built. So if I offended anyone I apologize.

I'm not sure why folks got offended (A mis-read obviously)......I thought your point was obvious. I love the diversity on the lake and have several friend over in the "Trailer Park". I love that place and have even considered buying one as a second lake home. I have a fairly nice lake place, but Bama Park has a lot to offer for those looking for a specific experience.
