Thanks for the welcome.  I realize who it was directed towards but it is very timely and has special meaning for my wife and I.  We closed on our house in Birmingham Thursday and arrived at our 'New Home' Friday.  This was a dream 50 years in the making.  A dream my parents were not able to realize because of my father's untimely death nearly 30 years ago.  What started out as a one bedroom weekender cabin is now home for the two of us and just enough room for family or friends.

We certainly welcome our new residence as well. Nothing like living on or around our beautiful resource called Lake Martin. Be sure to stay connected and join a group such as the Chamber of Commerce, Mainstreet, Habitat for Humanity, City Wide Clean up or whichever draws your interest. I myself have a story. If it were not for the vision my grandmother had I would never have made it to owning lake property. She was my best friend and because of her I am happy to say that I live on the most beautiful Lake in the U.S. If I can ever be of service please contact me. Tony Goss 257-749-3355.

Welcome to another full timer.  My husband and I left our home in VA in 2008 and moved here.  There is something special to be enjoyed every season.
