There has not been any new water level data since midnight.  Anyone know why?

DooDah:  I noticed the same thing and wondered the same thing.  I checked again just before posting this, and the time has changed to 14:00 today, but the stated level has not budged.  That seems unlikely to me to be factual.  I wonder if the guage is broken or the people in charge are just too busy preparing for the next rain surge to bother with the Lake Level page.

Perhaps water is being released from the dam in an effort to keep the big pond just below flood level.  At 503.42', it is just about an inch shy of flood level (503.50').  And we can see there is still a bunch of run-off heading to the lake.  Still, it seems unlikely the level would remain exactly the same whichever way you slice it!  If there was eminent danger, I am sure we would have heard about it.  I am not worried about it, just curious more than anything.

DooDah:  Looks like we are having similar thoughts.  I had posted the following on the "releasing water" thread a little earlier.  I should have put it in this thread.

"Wups, just checked again and there is a 15:00 update that shows the level down a whopping 0.01 ft.  Makes the posted level a cozy 0.08 ft. below flood.  That equals about an inch.  So looks like the updates are back active, but the residual in the watershed area is draining in about as fast a Lavon can pass it on to Ray Hubbard.  Next few days will be interesting.  I hope we will not have another Wimberley here, though."
