Skiing this morning where Sandy Creek comes into the lake and noticed lots of bubbles when water was disturbed. Nothing in other areas of Sandy Creek. Bubbles were brownish. Very disconcerting. Thoughts?

There are two sewage systems that dump into Sandy Creek.  The Dadeville system has been brought up to date in the past few years after  a lawsuit filed by Lake Watch, and has been running very efficiently.  The problem system is the Camp Hill system which uses sediment ponds that are not working much at all.  Lake Watch sued them a couple of years ago, but resolution has been reached.  Also, sometimes you will see bubbles on the lake surface that is the result of natural digestion of leaves, limbs, etc., by the lake. kind of like the lake burping!  If you have concerns please call the AL Dept. of Environmental Management (ADEM) in Montgomery.

Called Al Department of Environmental Management. They are forwarding my concerns to complaint department and am awaiting a call from them. Thank you Osms for the suggestion. I as well noticed the RV's and mentioned that in my conversation. Will forward any more information I get.
