Use Lake Martin Dock.Only people on the lake that understand and can drill into the rock bed. They weren't great producing or following a contract. Watch that and be specific and detailed about what you want. Use your own general contractor for fine tuning and deatailed worlk like screens and doors. THEY MAY COST MORE BUT IT WELL WORTH IT.

If you choose Lake Martin Dock you may have to wait a while. After deposit paid and Alabama power approval, I been waiting over 4 months.

They are the only one with the proper equipment to drill into the lake bed as far as I know.Mine withstood the tornado a few years ago. There may be others nowadays.

There are several others. Deep Water Services is local and has all the equipment to do the job. A company named Custom Docks out of Talladega recently did a job for a neighbor and it looks great and was a fairly complex build. I met the owner and talked with him awhile because they used my ramp to launch the barge and load tools and materials to and from the job site. You definitely have options. I am sure Lake Martin docks does come work, but so do others.  Check prices and spend time with each one and definitely go and look at their work, not just pictures.

It does take a good while for LMDC to get to your job, and starting in the winter doesnt help with the wait list. 

The quality is really good though.  I have a neighbor who is anal about poor construction methods, and he doesnt have enough good things to say about the job they recently completed for me.

Donal Shultz owner of Deep Water Services built my double slip boat house with double boat lifts at my previous lake house and installed my low profile boat lift at my current location to include rebuilding/redecking my fixed and floating docks. Dependable and quality work with very competitive pricing.

Donald Schultz with Deep Water Services tore out the old tornado damaged pier and built an excellent quality 2 story boat house with a screen porch, boat lifts and a walkway.  He was very responsive and his pricing was competitive.  He also was able to start right away.  He's been easy to work with and accommodated all of the changes we made along the way.  Any issues we had were resolved immediately.  No complaints, would highly recommend Donald.
