Subject:   PWC ports~which kind to buy?

We are looking for a PWC port and there are different kinds.  What is your opinion on the best kind to buy?  With rollers, without rollers, one that has adjustable rollers?

Thanks!!

Can't give much sdvice, but from my limited experience, I had "with 3 rollers".

With them, it was often very difficult to get off the platform for one person. With my experience, that would make "no rollers" seem almost impossible.

We have 2 Wave Armor ports with the wheels and floatation filled core (won't sink even if hole).  Love them as they are easy to roll on, push off and don't scar up the bottom hull.  Russell building stores carry them and I highly recommend.

Just checked the link you attached, that is exactly the ports I referenced in first reply.  Great product.

Mine was from 5-6 years ago. Looks like technology has improved significantly!

Hope you enjoy them...

We boought 3 Wave Armour PWC ports this past spring. We purchased them from Russell Builing Supply. We absolutely love them! We owned our Sea-Doo's for about a year and a half before purchasing the ports. It was an awful hassle trying to tie-up the pwc's and un-tie them every time we wanted to go out for a ride. I can't begin to tell you what an awesome convenience it has been and just how mucn more we have enjoyed our water craft since installing our three ports...has made all the difference in the world! We thououghly researched all the various types of ports and and are happily satisfied that we settled on the Wave Armour brand as well as with the price and service provided by Russell Building Supply!

We have used HydroHoist at two different homes on lake and been very happy.

Depends on how you mount them, base port is $1800-1900.  If front mounting to two galvanized pipe w/PVC sleeves driven in the ground, then your good to go.  If side mounting to your fixed dock you'll need a set of offset brackets, probably $200'ish.  If mounting two ports together, you'll need a side by side connector kit, same $200'ish.  Think they have kits for mounting to floating docks as well, no idea on price.  Go to wave amor website there's an accessory page that lists all their stuff.

I front mounted mine. Dug holes about 1.5-2' about 1 foot off the beach, put 3" PVC with 2pcs of rebar and filled with sacrete.  Works great.
