Preliminary report on Lake Watch testing for bacteria near RVs at Sandy Creek & Buck Creek.

Took three samples each at Highway 49 Bridge; at Buck Creek just before it enters Sandy Creek; and immediately downstream from RVs on Sandy Creek.  Incubated for two days.

Almost clear of E.coli at the Bridge, clear at Buck Creek, and many hits below RVs, especially alongside the stream bank on the RV side. 

Will do more tests this week to verify.  If similar results, data will go to ADPH reps and ADEM.  I would appreciate hearing from whoever called ADEM to get information on your contact (date, person spoken to, etc).

I talked with ADPH supervisor, from Sylacauga (I think), about two years ago....no results.

This sounds like there may be a raw sewage problem in this "RV" area? Thank you for your efforts with this issue!

Dick, thank you for the testing.  On 17 July I called ADEM and was told the Complaint Dept. would contact me.  That never happened. I went online and followed up with complaint number 3S-007IV6Y86.  I waterski on a daily basis the slalom course in this area and am very concerned.  Please contact me at miked811@gmail.com for any other information.
