Just looked on Talapoosa GIS and you can see who owns the property. The owners live in Stillwaters in a high end home. But they are renting/leasing the land to these people right near the Mullican Rd. bridge. The lots further up the creek are owned by various individuals and are very small parcels. The owners renting the land own a lot of property in other places around the county. If there is something going in the water it would be interesting to know exactly where it is coming from.

Laker, the second set of bacteria tests showed pretty much the same results...high levels of E. coli downstream from the RVs located inside the fence on Mullican, and nothing significant coming from upstream above the 49 bridge or Buck Creek.  Of course, there are several places in that stretch that could be suspects.

The issue has been reported to ADEM by another Forum member, and we are awaiting a field inspection...either by ADEM or ADPH. From past experience, this may take awhile.

Received a response from ADEM on my compaint.  They forwarded for investigation to Amy Baker Tallapoosa Health Department.  Anyone with a relationship with her please forward our concerns and press for an appropriate response.  Mike D
