I was a past critic of Stillwaters Golf.....as a result of recent post I decided to go play the course under new management and, hopefully, ownership. I must say I was pleasantly surprised at the improvements given the short period of time via the change. The greens were in very good shape as the fairways. Still a lot to do on sand traps and cart paths and other value added items but very playable. I talked to Keith the new owner about his plans. All grounded in value and member benefits. 

I took a leap of faith and joined the Club as a new member. To me it's a no brainer....for $575 I get a full year of green fees. The kitchen is set to open in October with a fitness center forthcoming. Honestly, I would have joined for the upcoming social benefits alone. What a great place to have a weekly game, lunch and social events. For us, it gives us a opportunity to meeting like minded folks as we begin to enjoy the lake more often since we have retired.

Honestly, the local property owners on the east side would realize a personal and financial benefit if Keith can succeed in his vision. We need a destination like SW to add diversity to our treasured area. 

They need MEMBERS to make it work. The value is there now and the potential is grounded in the support from the community. Please consider dropping by and give the facility a chance. This is truly a grass roots endeavor with the major benefactors being US!

My comments have no vested interest other than being a 17 year property owner on the east side. I am not in Stillwaters.

Keith...Good Luck...we are fortunate to have someone take on the challenge of making SW great again. If you are successful we all win!

Randyman.....does the $575 give you green fees for the weekend as well as week days? If yes, I might have to go see Keith this coming week. Thanks for the update report on SW.
