Would be nice if the powers that be could occasionally have a show that would be of interest for us older folks.

I agree and have often thought that Three on a String or Chevy 6 would be enjoyed by more mature lake folks.

I think you have to go to Auburn for the closest music that will appeal to adults. Which wouldn't have been my first guess since Auburn is a college town, but they do have some good music places.

Does anyone know "who the powers to be" are? If you do, post their name(s) and I will contact them. I love golden oldies.

it is my understanding dave Commander at Russell lands, marketing Director, selects the acts; I know several adults complained to him about the selections at Fridays on the green--loud, songs no one knew, etc--good luck !!!

I just left a phone message for Robert Gunn requesting a call back concerning the 2016 schedule for The Amp. I asked if there was a possibility of getting some Oldies Groups in for one of the holiday dates. I mentioned the Swingin' Medallions as a possibility. They're one more party band doing songs from the sixties to present day with a country song or two thrown into the mix. Their big hit from the sixties was "A Double Shot of My Baby's Love". We have followed this group all over the South and they never fell to put on a great show with lots of audience participation. I'd love to see them come to The Amp. I have talked with their booking agent in the past. I tried to get them for our 50 Year High School Reunion but they were already booked for Sept 19th.

They(Swinging Medallions) are the original party band of the mid 60's.  Out of the sands of South Carolina....have seen them a few years ago...still put on a good show ,,,,even with the youngsters playing...
