I used stainless wire on decks and upper level of boat house and I have a manual crimper, you can borrow. Lowes sells them for about $20.00. I used 3/16" wire and that is the largest wire mine will crimp. Boy, I would have loved to have a hydraulic crimper since I had about 450 cable ends to crimp. My wire has been up for 10 years with NO problems, great choice.

I just re-read your post. See you're looking at the fancy connectors. Those are about $15-20 per connection. Too expensive for all I had to do. My crimper is for the aluminum swages.

Cool. When I heard the cost of the stainless I kinda dropped the idea, but they really look good. What size cable do you plan to use? Each end connection cost me about $0.50 for swage and galvanized eye bolt. Kinda primative.

I'm doing something different.
The boss has windows facing the water. The sun hits directly and reflected off the water.
I'm taking an old garage door opener with some conduit and pillow blocks and making an electric shade system.
I am using the stainless cable to guide the bottom conduit/weight to the bottom of the window.
Using sunbrella sheer - you can see thru it.
The stainless crimp bolts were 6 or 7 bucks on ebay. Just using 4. Going to do a loop and nicopress for the top.

Maybe you need to patent that. We face the east and have the same sun and reflected sun problem. It's brutal.

Yea, I think I'm going to roll my own computer to control it.
If it gets bright, a sensor drops the drapes.
If it gets windy, up they go.
