According to the online rag AL.com, it was compliance issues and square peg/round hole.  Auburn is contending "with cause" so I'm sure litigation is on tap unless Golloway gets the golden egg parachute.

It's crazy. My son and daughter were 4 years apart and we were amazed at the cost difference between the time she started and when he graduated last December.

Are you surprised? The Federal establishment and liberilization of a secondary securities market (Salliemae) for these loans gave the "academic class" an opening into the federal taxpayer casino.

Free money was not lost on them and they went on a building spree in recent years, not to mention their ability to raise tuition only because they can. Just drive through any campus and see what I mean.

You see the Academic class, who now contributes heavily to the politicians for influence for salary, pensions, medical benefits have now merged interests with the political class. I loved the AUM extravaganza with their multi-million dollar wellness center and they only have a handfull of students enrolled. The faculty now have a lux facility paid for by guess who.

As a result of this situation our poor kids are leaving school saddled with enormous debt.

Ironically your kids still vote for these parasites... which speaks volumes for what they learned in four years.
