Be careful with big spots !! Went early in the boat and caught a few small spots nothing special.
Came home and went with Wife in our Hobie Kayaks ( Pedal Type) Wife was trolling brand new Yellow/Blue Rattletrap in about 25 feet of water. Got a hard hit and had a good time fighting the fish. Then she pulled the big Spot into her lap on the Kayak. Big Mistake.
Bass pushed a treble hook right thru her forearm and out the other side. Fish was hooked really good. I had to go over and unhook the fish and cut the barb off the new rattletrap to get the hook out. Being a really good sport she said , man catching that fish was fun. why did you let him go ? She bought more lures yesterday and is ready to go again. Pretty sporty for a 60 plus year old gal ! But she's using a net next time ...
