Things have been sort of slow for me since the mexican hurricane . i still catch a few here and there and the jigging spoon is still the best trick I have . Like today for example . i wnent out and fished for 2 hours before i got a strike and then put 5 in the boat in half an hour . It is hard for me to complain about the weather with seventies at the beginning of November but i think the fish think It should have been cooler by now . i saw a deer swimiing across a good mile or more yesterday with 4 dogs far behind . This evening i saw one swimming a half mile span by itself . Life is good on the lake .

Thanks for the report Hound. It's been a little slow for me as well. Tried some points and some docks but little success. Went back to deep water and caught 3 with the largest about three pounds...but fished three hours.  All were offshore in at least 35 feet of water.  Had an eagle come take a look and circle low for about 5 minutes, pretty cool.

We don't have a floating dock and the water is getting low on our ramp.  Hate to have to drive to Kowaliga ramp each day. May have to go back to the Hobie to chase a few bass.

Been kind of down in the back for the last few weeks, but the bite is on..  Not Spots, but Crappie. Just received message/picture of a boat load of crappie..  caught in the windcreek area, 15' over brush.  Just like spring, light jigs (1/16 oz) on ultra light stuff..  Good Lord willing, will get of of my butt and get after them later this week..

Thanks for the heads up . Sounds like time to put the 6 wt. fly rod and a box of wooly buggers on the boat .
