I have a cabin in Nichols Cove, near Kowliga Bridge. I left my conoe convenient to low water canoeing; alas, I have never seen the lake go to nearly full pool in December, so I have a loose canoe--an Old Town brand, Discovery 169. If you've seen it or have a clue where I might look, give me a shout, 205 521 8225, or email me back. Happy New Year!

Canoe found! a neighbor had rescued it when it drifted to shore on his property.

Glad to hear that. I am surprised that more items have not floated away, with the lake rising so fast.

Always tie up, even when you don't think it is necessary. I've been guilty of not tieing up recently as well.

I am as well. I lucked out, as the canoe stayed in the slough.

Plese tell anyone with a paddleboat or such small craft to put there phone number on them. These craft have no registration numbers on them so if washed away who can one return to? I live on Logan Martin and I usually see several floating down stream.
