Will they take the lake back down or will it remain at the current level?

They will manage the lake per the rule curve so if conditions permit, they will drop it back down.  I am hoping that the drop will intersect with the new rule curve and they only take it down to 483' although others in the middle of dock or seawall work when the rains hit are hoping for 480'.  How quickly it drops will depend on rainfall in the watershed and coditions downstream.  Either way, it was nice seeing a lot of water in front of our house instead of a creek and lots of mud. even if it was brown.

Would like to see them leave it at 483 or more!

Been running 4 units nonstop for days and only 1 at lake Harris. Level is not dropping. Wow lots of watershed runnoff.

Me too, but I also recognize that there are a number of folks doing projects that are on hold right now.  Am looking forward to having 3 feet of water in front of our house all winter.

Latest message from AlaPower posted this morning is they expect it to reach 480 mid-January.   That would give us folks needing dock work a short period of time around the weekend of the MLK holiday to work before the Jan 20 implementation of the new curve.  Mathematically I assume we are going to start going down about 9" per day but we haven't seen anything today.

We'll see the lake start down overnight.  Lake Wedowee is now back at normal winter level after rising over 8 ft.  They lowered upstream lake first and now that's complete so we'll start down.  Outflow from Wedowee just about equaled Martin's outflow till this afternoon so we were holding steady.  Check it tomorrow night and it should be down.  I saw a photo that showed three flood gates open, doubt they'll waste that money from now on.

It has begun.  Down 4" overnight.
