I was struggling before the rains came. I can only imagine how hard it is now. Any idea how long it takes the lake to clear up after this much rain?

I would imagine two weeks or better providing there is no more flooding rain. Next question when and how far will they drop the water and what all is this doing to winter fishing pattern. I haven't been since the monsoon, but am planning on next week maybe.

Read my post below. Not a productive last weekend of fishing Thursday to Sunday. I marked fish but no bites. Bait fish were scarce to find. I know one of the lake guides rescheduled trips for later on but I am betting two weeks or so if no further flooding issues. Time to get honeydo lists done until it clears up and the lake stabilizes. Unfortunately, more rain expected this weekend....

Yep that was kinda what I was thinking. I have been hearing some reports from a few guys at work that has had some recent luck tho. I think they were beating the banks with crank baits. Strangely enough a few weeks ago the bank beaters were havin a rough time.

Fished today on south end of lake from 11 am to 4 pm.  We were fishing for stripers--marked fish in several locations, including bait, but no bites.

We were up there Monday doing some spooning and deep water trolling with down riggers with little success in the paces point area. We wound up with a couple, but had hard day. Water still had a good stain and the further north we went in the river it seemed to be heavier stained . Water temp was around mid 50's. Guess we will try it again next Monday.

I went 2 trips right after the rain and the water was bad, stained and debris. Didnt think I would find the fish but caught over 30 keeper spots both days. They where stacked on the shallow bars in 2 to 5 feet.

Hey spotremover--You are pretty much encroaching on my name. Now you can get blamed for

all of the crap that I do.    Bruce, is this fair? Is there any screening of names?
