Much better day of fishing. Gorgeous day and not too cold. Water temp was 55°. Caught some spots and one 4.5 pound stripe in the shallow run offs using a wacky worm of all things! Later in the day, caught a few more spots deeper with spoon jigs. Water is starting to clear up.

Glad to hear that !! Unfortunately it will be Monday behind the front before I can go, but I will be there. People are telling me that it is better fishing down instead of up river.

Without disclosing your specific location, could you say whether you were in the upper, middle or lower part of the lake?

From my experience the south end of the lake is fishing a lot better than the north. The water has cleared up a good bit between the dam and blue creek area. Back in the creeks is pretty muddy but areas towards the main lake have been productive. Caught a few on a drop shot between 20-30 feet of water last Thursday.

I went saturday and tried a few spots around holiday shores and stillwaters and caught nothing. I came back to pleasure point area and found some fish on shaky head. Caught most of fish for the day around points close to wind creek. Fish bite the right color in muddy water.

I was fishing the north end in Madwin creek. Sunday was not as productive there as it was on Saturday. It was windy and rough but I did get a few more spots around Manoy. Sounds like further south is the ticket as the water is clearer from others posting. Good luck.

Haven't switched over to crappie yet but I have been catching them with a jigging spoon about every time I go.
