Has anyone played course lately? Have the made any NEW improvements to course? I joined last year, mainly for show of support, and haven't played since. Just curious if they are staying the course! No pun intended. Sounds like the restuarant is doing well.....

Played within the last few weeks.  They have slowly started to improve the sand traps which was my last major gripes.  Restaurant is very good.  Food, service and costs are all reasonable.  Maybe still not worth the $50 we pay as guests when compared to Grand National but getting there.  Will be there this weekend and will play so I will give a more current report.

Thanks. Looking forward to hearing about your experience. I hope they can continue to improve. Would be great for all of us in the area.

Played yesterday morning and the course is in pretty good shape given the time of year.  The sand traps are much improved and the few I found myself in were playbable.  We were even able to drive the carts on the course for most of the holes which was nice.  Able to finish in under 4 hours and then head back to Atlanta.

A quick question for fellow hackers out there.  I broke my treasured Ping I3 5 metal the other day at the ferrell.  Has always been one of my favorite and reliable clubs.  Could hit on a tight and spongy lie.  Ball flight was perfect for hitting a soft second shot into a reachable par 5. I also carry a Ping I3 3 metal which I hit reliably as well.  I have a 23 degree 4 hybird and carry no 3 or 4 irons.  Thoughts on a 17 degree 2 hybrid (same loft as my broken 5 metal)  vs new 5 metal or trying to find a ferrel for my old 5 metal would be appreciated.

Thanks!

CRD
