If anybody is considering seawall or dock construction I would highly recommend Chris Zinn of Lake Martin Services. He is a paid advertiser on this website and his link is below. Chris and his crew did a fantastic job re-decking our dock last season and building a seawall this winter. He pays attention to detail and listened closely to what we wanted.  He had no problems adding additional things we asked for during construction.  Chris even showed up during heavy rains in the dark with a flashlight to watch the water flow to best construct our wall and drainage.  Most builders do not give that level of detail and pride of work. His prices are very good -- much better than other estimates we had.  You will not be disappointed with his estimate or work!

It's great that you were satisfied, but I've always been skeptical of a company that offers so many diverse services. Does he subcontract to local workmen?

They built a deck addition for me and I was very satisfied with the prompt service and good work.

Hey Hound,

I am not positive but I think all of my work was done by his own insured and bonded staff.  Most seemed to arrive in trucks marked as Lake Martin Services.  Having said that, he did mention to me that he does use a local electrical contractor for jobs requiring electrical work.  Over the years Chris has done several jobs for us and we have never been disappointed.

I started using Chris for a dock staining project a couple of years ago and went by to check and he was doing it himself. Last year we had a pipe crack in a bathroom that flooded it and the adjacent bedroom. This happened when we were leaving the country for a couple of weeks and returning just before Memorial Day. Chris did the repairs ( paint and carpet) while we were gone and did a first rate job. This year he is staying a screened in porch for us. 

The only time I was aware of work going on and him not there his wife did some touch up painting. Chris is a first class hard worker.
