Very sweet lost dog.  Black and white hound mix.  Around 1240 Lakewood Drive (Off of Turner Rd, almost all the way down, past Larkwood).  We fed the dog this AM.

Two places to talk to - the Lake Martin Humane Shelter, and the local vets. Maybe the dog has a microchip, and those places have microchip readers.

Collar and tag? If not forget about it.

I suspect that most dog owners do not realize that their dogs like to explore and expand their territory.  We have several dogs that like to visit, and sometimes new dogs drop by.  Most have collars, but even the ones that don't are obviously someone's pet.  Some are well known all around the neighborhood.  They show up, we are nice to them, they play with my dog until the old girl wears them out, and then they leave.  They eventually make their way home.  We just consider it a part of being at the lake.  I do let my dog run free, but she has never shown much of a desire to wander.  She will not go far before she realizes that I am not around, and then she runs home.
