Are there any regulations about outdoor lighting on the lake? The guy across the slough has a lighting fetish. I am ok with some pathway lighting and subtle accent lighting. But this guy has airport runway lighting down the pathway and along the entire shoreline at least 400+ feet. Ruins the star gazing......borderline obnoxious

Have you talked to him about it?  Perhaps you could reach a compromise.  This question seems to come up once a year, and I think the general consenus has been that it is best to try to talk to him about it.

Probably not. Do you have any covenants in your subdivision? Some folks thing they are the only ones on the lake and like to live like that.

Invite them over so they can see your point of view.  Negotiate. Don't let this fester.  Life is short.

It's a problem brought on by city folks coming to the lake. Same thing with privacy fences everywhere.

You get it, samdog. They come here, they say, to "get away from it all," but they bring it all with them.

You people hit the nail on the head. Big city folks coming to the redneck riviera. Too many people and too many lights. Definitely not the lake I grew up on.
