Down in Spain Branch, the water is clearing up - lots of trash last night, wind has pushed it down the slough today

Seems to me we experience this same phenomenon every spring....rains wash debris and mud into the lake and just as the weather starts suggesting it is lake party time, the water is rife with submerged and semi submerged debris that can ruin a Sunday afternoon spin around the lake.  Give it a couple weeks and the stuff will settle to the bottom or wash onto the shore.

You are correct, same thing every year, and to a lesser extent, after a turd-floater....  The pontoon boat runs low and slow, and we had a couple of extra spotters today - picked a leeward South-facing cove and let the kids and dog swim.

Lots of brush and limbs in Tallassee Slough

Instead of getting permission to put marker bouys out to keep boaters away from my swimming area, I think I might just lash several of these big floaters together and leave them in place this year.   ;)

What kind of big floaters are you talking about using?

So far, I've pulled two 35 ft trees away, trunks with diameters of 4+ feet.   Big enough to rip the foot off a fast moving boat.....
