Subject:   GPS Recommendations?

I am looking for a new GPS for my boat and thought I would ask if any of you had any recommendations. I am looking for one that has a good map of Lake Martin, to include the islands, hazards, channels, and a good contour of the bank. I would also like one that will leave a "bread crumb" trail for where I have beenso that I can simply follow the same path home. The last time I shopped for one, I was able to find several with a decent map of Logan Martin, but not Martin. Any suggestions?

I have a lowrance that covers Lake Martin extreamly well. I had to buy an SD card that had the detailed map infromation and it plugs into the GPS. It does everything you want and more. Very accurate. I bought it with my pontoon in 2010 so I'm sure  they are even better (and cheaper) now.

Lowrance Elite-4 fishfinder/chartplotter has a great map of Lake Martin and leaves the bread crumb trails. www.overtons.com has them as well as many other sites. You can also buy the GPS only if I'm not mistaken.

I just installed Hummingbird Helix 5 on my pontoon.  Be sure to get Navontics card to enjoy all of the features you want.  Great for night time navigation.  Hope this helps.
