It's driving me nuts.  Most persistent lawn weed I have ever dealt with.  Have a well established centipede lawn.   "Spectracide for Southern Lawns" slows it down but the stuff just keeps coming?

I would look @ Bayer products, particularly a product called Revolver. Very expensive - but very effective.  As an aside, your bride helped us find a lake house years ago.  I dont know you except from postings but i hope you are both well. Jeff

This link may help you out  http://extension.uga.edu/publications/detail.cfm?number=B1395  I saw where you can order metsulfuron (the product is called MSM Turf) on Amazon for post emergent of japanese clover.  A cheaper chemical may be the Atrazine which seems readily available.  The UGA extension site suggests preemergent as the best way to battle this type of clover.

Great article Mack....thanks for sharing. I noticed the Japanese Clover in my garden and starting to spread into my turf lawn. Headed to Floyd's Feed and Seed to get the killer for this weed.

I will trade you...... your Japanese clover for my creeping charlie and a mild case of dollar weed.  After three years of hand pulling and a multi prong attack with Pennington and Scotts Bonus S I have knocked it back, but it is still there.  Ughhhhhhhhhh!

The creeping charlie has choked and killed out large patches of centipeed.  I sprigged in St. Augustine and it seems to compete much better.  The Augustine has almost completely taken over the other centipede that was not impacted.

Thanks, folks.

It's been helpful.  The UGA article on cultural stuff makes sense.  Been cutting the grass too short and need to check Ph.
