Anybody played course lately? Last time I played about a month ago....the sand traps were stool in need of some loving and the perimeter of some of the greens had a black fungus look. Still much better than a year ago but still in need of attention. Got some friends coming in and trying to decide on Stillwaters or go to RTJ in Opelika. Any observations?

It's been about a month for me as well so my report would be the same.  Some of the traps have been improved but for many of them we call it ground under repair and move the ball out.  While those of us that have played it over the years are pleased with the improvements, I am hard pressed to recommend it for $15 less per round than RTJ-Grand National.  Just not there yet.  But when my wife and I are at the house we play there.  She really likes it as the course is very friendly toward women and seniors.  Now if they would only get rid of the dang tree in the middle of the 9th fairway......but I digress......

I too am having a group to my lakehouse this week but we are playing Grand National on Thursday and Friday.

Im a  member & play 3-4 times a week; course is in great shape, fairways immaculate; traps better but still working on them; black fungus gone on greens--try it & restaurant is great
