I checked out their listing on this site, and it is disconnected.  Looked at their website and the number leads me to Red Hill Marine.

I have a broken cable on my boat lift and need to get it repaired.

If anyone has any other suggestions, I'd love to have them.  I've already called Dock Unlimited, who ran me around in circles, and I have Lake Martin Docks coming to give me an estimate (but from talking to them, $$$)

334-857-2954 is the number to get in touch with them.

The bigger question to me is why/how the cable broke. They usually last much longer than what yours has. Make sure whoever does it addresses that issue. Do you know why it failed?

I'm a DIY guy and do everything myself usually but a boat lift is a critical system with major safety concerns.  Sometimes it's best to pay up and let the experienced pros do what they do daily. Experience is worth a premium sometimes. You won't go wrong with Lake Martin Dock Co.

We decided that this was a job for professionals, hence hiring someone to do it. Have no idea how it broke, but it did.  I know Lake Martin Docks will do a very good job, they have done stuff for us in the past.  It is a pretty significant difference between one company's quote and another's.  Got a mountain of vet bills right now for 3 dogs, but if I'm going to the poor house anyway, I'll probably take the superhighway. :-)

Not to hijack a thread but we had to put Gracie, our border collie mix pound puppy, down at 15.  She told us in her own way it was time.  Ended up getting Tater at the Montgomery shelter....he had been there four months, and he is an absolute delight.  Shelter said five years old, our vet said closer to two.  Mix of corgi and pug is best guess.  Can't figure out why he wasn't adopted sooner.  Perfect house manners, settled right in with the other dogs, still looking for the down side, but he isn't cooperating!

Sorry for your loss, but it sounds like the new dog is filling the whole quite nicely.

Our GSP Browning died of heat stroke in July.  I won't get into all the details about that.  We took on a Blue Tick Hound that no one claimed.  (He was found wandering around 259 and 20 and was in pretty bad shape.  He has heartworm, so we are getting that treated right now.  But he has been a nice addition to our family.  He and our Walker, Talu hunt together (but his hunting days are on temporary suspension, until we get the all clear on the heart worms.)  Talu is at the vet today getting xrays of her joints and some minor surgery, and next week our Lab-mix Lady, has to have a tooth extracted.  Oh well, it's only money.

thanks for the suggestions.  I called Lake Martin Services yesterday, but Chris has not returned my call.

Business must be pretty good for people to be so independent.  Docks Unlimited said they would do it, called me on a Tuesday and said they would be here the next day, but they were a no-show.  Called the office on Thursday to find out when they would be here, and was told first thing Friday morning.  Never showed up, never called.  True that it is a small job, but you never know when I might have a bigger job.

At a combination of both offices, I have called 4 or 5 times over the last year and left messages to call - then two weeks ago I stopped by their new building and left my name and two phone numbers and still not heard from anyone.  They evidently have a ton of business.

Lake Martin Services - Offshore Marine - Phones have been disconnected at the first location and no one will answer phones at the new location on Red Hill Rd. Not a good way to operate a business!

Does anyone no if Calarence is still the technician there?
