You can assure your son that while I support protest under the Constitution, I certainly do not support rioting, destruction of private property, looting, arson or murder. The words from Madonna were stupid and uncalled for. Remind him that  over a million protested across the US this weekend and there were zero arrests.

I have taught my family the same values I have and those I learned saving people as member of the US Coast Guard. You find, of my over 5,000 posts, nothing that would encourage support for any riot.

When I worked in Philadelphia, i took the train to work and used to  be greeted by peolpe in the subway concourse people who lived in refrigerator boxes. Whenever we had a party at work, I would take leftover food down to the subway concourse and hand out sandwiches. A few times, I invited my kids to join me and walk the concourse. It gave them a quick education of the real world. I would encourage you to take your son to a homeless shelter and volunteer.

Hillary and Elizabeth seem to have gotten a group of liberal women thinking that they are "entitled".  You know how women succeed?  They don't just work as hard as a man, but they work harder than a man.  You can't just be as good as a man, you must be better.  You must create your own opportunities, and stand up for yourself.  I don't think we need to support another class of people that think they are "entitled".  Too many women have finally figured it how very hard it is to have it all, so now they want the "system" to make it easier for them.  You can pass legislation all day, but you will not change the system. 

There wasn't a woman who marched who represented me.  I'm so tired of people and their sense of entitlements.  Saw a commercial tonight for some group that tells people that they can run up their credit card bills and then work out a settlement so you don't have to pay what you owe.  There are groups of lawyers who will take your case for social security disability that you are "entitled to" even if you could work at another kind of job.  And now you are "entitled " to have low cost health care.  I am pro-choice but I don't expect other people to pay for it.

I think those who are pro life have an obligation to support a welfare system for those who give birth and can't afford to raise the kid without food and a roof. If one is pro life before the birth then they need to be pro life after the birth.

And what makes you think I do not volunteer my time, money and resources to help needy and have instilled the same in my children.  We are firm believers of a hand up not a hand out. 

As I have stated before when accosted by a "homeless" at a restaurant and offered him food was told to go f myself because he wanted money.  I will not have him cash so he can by booze or cigerettes - if he was that damn hungry he would have jumped on that sandwitch much like you onto Bush or Trump.

When helped a family in our city with clothes and food, they sold them to wear rags - so that they would get the sympathy of stupid people who would keep the gravy train running.

as a retiree, my healthcare is not subsidized by the taxpayers.  My "benefit" is that I get to belong to the pool, but I pay the full cost every month.  My dental plan is a totally separate coverage, and I pay the full cost for it too.
