So I got last minute tickets to the Super Bowl from a vendor and went with a friend from work.  Quite an experience although the results stunk.  I can tell you from being there that all Atlanta needed was one more score, a field goal, a safety, whatever and the Pats were done.  The game turned when the Falcons were sacked and had a holding penalty to put them out of field goal range.  That was probably the worst call in the entire game.  Speaking of calls, it seemed to those of us there that every time the Patriots needed a penalty on the Falcons they seemed to get one.  The screen at the game never showed a replay of any of the suspect calls.  I can think of four crucial plays where the Falcons got dinged and am curious if they were real.

Anyway, the change in momentum in the second half was palpable and it is a lesson to any NFL team that they need to stick with what was working and not go conservative, especially with a team that can put up the points like NE.  One other comment, NE used the hurry up against Pittsburgh in the AFC Championship to good effect but played slow the first half in this game.  It seemed to me when they went hurry up the Falcons were on their heels the entire time.  I almost feel like had they played the game that way from the beginning they would have crushed the Falcons.  Oh well, at least I can say I was there.

Unbelievable game, but yes, the Holding calls were for Holding.  Time and time again.  I am sure they can call it everytime but many of the calls on Atlanta were for tackling.  I thought the end of regulation pass interference at goal line was the right call but similar pass interference had not been called all game.  Although one Atlanta touchdown came after pass interference at 5 yard line.

Good game.  The graphic of Pro Championships for Boston area VS Atlanta was shocking......before game last night   32 - 1

Watched Trump being interviewed by O'Reilly. Bill asked him who he felt was going to win and he said he was going with his friend Tom Brady. Trump was then asked by how many points and he said Patriots by 8 points. The only thing he got right all week.

Changed from a ho-hum game into a cliff-hanger.

MM, what did you think of the half time show?

I for one thought the halftime show was a dud. Of course that's just one man's opinion.

Lady Gaga's fan demographic isn't exactly old white Southern deplorables............She would appeal more to the caring and intelligent snowflakes from Patriot territory.....

OK, I have to admit I was not looking forward to it.  Not my kind of music.  But it was very entertaining and extremely well choreogrpahed.  Again, despite the music it was a really good performance and much better than when they have the geriatric rock and toll types.  I really like how she started it.  She is definitely talented.

I can assure you that about 95% of the people in attendance at the game are not her demographic.  Either way I give her credit for the entertainment at least for those of us there.  Can't comment on the other 100 million watching on TV.  And all that despite it not being my kind of music.  She may be kind of weird, but she is talented.

Is this an indication that you miss the Forum and have returned? Or, are just another drive by from a former regular who can't handle the stress of trying to support Trump 24/7??????

I would have just rather had her sing.  There were all those stunts, and then too many people on the stage.  Despite her running around and the costume changes, I didn't think she had good energy and wondered if she was nervous.  I would have been nervous hanging around up in the sky.

My favorite half time of recent memory was Bruno Mars.  He brought great energy.  Of course, anything is better than Beyonce's political statement last year.

Yeah, last year's halftime was awful.  And the NFL wonders why viewership is down.  Between all the PC crap coming out of the head office, Colin Kaeperneck kneeling or sitting during the national anthem and them allowing her show many Americans no longer watch the NFL.  What they don't get is that fans watch professional sports to escape politics.  Hollywood has already made most TV and movies into leftist propoganda and sports used to be a safe haven from the idiocy.  Just look at what is happening to ESPN.  Their viewership is way down because most of their non-sporting event programming is unwatchable.  Between inarticulate former athletes and the leftist ranting it is just not appealing to many fans.  I will watch games on ESPN but I can't even take the half time shows any more.

Don't get me started about sports announcers in general and half time programs.  Good time to head to the kitchen or take on a project.
