Thanks for a well thought out executive order. I guess deplorables have set such a low bar they are satisfied with the ramifications of the order. However, caring and intelligent snowflakes are concerned with this order....

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) – President Donald Trump’s executive directive to restrict or postpone new government regulations for 60 days has hampered the ability of the Federal Aviation Administration to issue safety orders about aircraft.

The instructions, known as “airworthiness directives,” are issued frequently, and formalize mandated inspections or modifications to correct unsafe conditions on U.S. aircraft.

His title is "President" sir.

You still using CNN as reliable? O.K.... I am sure CNN is directly envolved in the details of air travel safely so they can report factually..

Personally I would accept any reputed danger associated with this EO much more quickly than your buddy Obama sneeking a $400 million check to a regine determined to kill us.

I was emulating you dude in my reference to Trump. You NEVER referred to President Obama as President. You liked to be cute with OB, Big O, and Obama. I like to follow your big boy's shoes with Trump, Trumpie, and The Trumpster. I hope this meets with your approval.

Well, you liberals have set the bar really low with your temper tantrum.  A rioting crowd blocked the roadway in New Haven CT to a hospital and a seriously ill man ended up having a procedure in the ambulance rather than in the hospital.  Really, isn't it time for the temper tantrums to stop?  At least the police were able to detain the organizer.

Lawyer representing the protestors says the police is responsible for traffic blocking ambulance transporting a woman with a medical emergency forcing EMT's to perform emergency procedure in the ambulance instead of being able to reach the hospital. When will this nonsense ever end. It is a shame that these protestors can't find a way to engage in actions that could help promote a better example of how fortunate we all are to be able to live in this great country.

GF, with all due respect the vast majority of AD's are not really well thought out or necessary.  They usually stem from a problem seen on one or two aircraft out of thousands that adds tremendous cost with very little safety value.  For example, there is a wing spar AD related to cracking seen in a couple of aircraft where they detected cracks on high time airframes.  So they issued an AD requiring very costly inspections on the entire fleet regardless of time in service or any other reason for the inspection.  So millions of dollars were spent on similar aircraft for zero value because no others were found with the cracks.  And most ADs are recurring so the cost is incurred over and over with no value.  Another example, there is an AD on my airplane that requires the replacement of a clamp on the turbocharger every 500 hours at a cost of $500.  No evidence of a problem with my clamp but it had to be replaced because of a stupid AD.  Multiply that AD times the 3,000 simiar aircraft and it adds $1.5M to the cost of ownership of the fleet.  That is just one small clamp on one particular type of aircraft.  And that's one of the cheaper ADs.

So no, planes will not start falling out of the sky and crashing left and right because of the EO.....but it sounds like it to the low information types.

http://www.localnews8.com/news/national-world/trump-directive-stalls-faa-safety-warnings/314760998

The stalled directives do not mean that airlines and aircraft operators are unaware of serious safety problems. The directives are typically the last step in the safety regulatory process. The aircraft operators first receive manufacturer bulletins about the problems, but in some instances wait for final FAA notices to act, according to two industry officials.

As someone who has actually owned aircraft - the AD is so far down the list of what you know about your aircraft and when an item is of concern or mandated to be corrected, having received manufacturer bulletins and the mechanics who work on them keep up on what is going on, unlike you, who know zero about aircraft other then what you read in your talking points.

but let me guess - "you dont understand."  LOL.

MartiniMan - wow - facts, reasoned argument, unlike the idiot OP.  My fav was having to strip the paint off a 152 prop or replace the prop due to hairline cracks in a few props, when the prop in question was pretty new but was part of the advisory, so glad I do not have aircraft anymore, just their less expensive alternative boats.  Heard many a owner state if it flies or floats its cheeper to rent.

Well I don't know about boats being that much cheaper. :-)  I own a Bonanza A36TN and fly it on business.  I just got fed up with the hassle of TSA and use the plane as much as I can for trips under 600 NM.  Sadly I don't have de-ice so that impacts me a lot in the winter.  But anyone who thinks ownership is cheaper than renting is fooling themselves unless they fly 150-200 hours per year, something most of us don't do.

Fully agree that is why we purchased when we were looking at 5 pilots in the famliy as the hours were growing quickly and the cost of ownership was obvious and cheaper, since then hours have dropped and it no longer makes sense to maintain a hanger queen.

So easy to tell the difference between a deplorable with class and one without. The one with class owns his own plane.

Even easier - they dont think like you - oh wait thats not just people with planes.

I guess at one point in time Phil had "class" since he owned his own plane. Have you ever owned a plane? Does President Trump have class since he owns his on plane and gets to fly aboard Air Force One.

Deplorable and proud of it, and more money in the bank since selling plane and becoming classless

What a siily question. Of course Trump has class as a plane owner. I will steal a page from your book...flying on AF 1 does not give you class since you and I own it. No different from classless Phil and his rented planes.

Well that proves it - Trump who owns multiple airplanes and helicopters must be super classy by GFY's definition.  Obama who just had to turn in the keys to AF1, borrows planes from donors and possibly rents or leases one - classless, rent-a-class or rent with a option to buy some class - almost like a payday loan.

Well that Proves it GFY has never had class and couldnt get a payday loan, at least I once had class, all you have is the love of your exiled King Obama.

1 more senate confirmation down - Thanks to Devos all the little librtard liberals are wanting to home school now after pushing for punishment for homeschoolers.  MAGA.

MM, I think you are in my neighborhood.

Did you ever fly Joe's Stearman?

Nope, is he the one at McCollum in Kennesaw?  I have seen it a number of times and looks like a blast.  I used to work with a guy that had an AT-6 and every time we flew it for business it was an airshow.  A total hoot to have that big radial up front but is a handful to fly.

Joe kept the plane at Alex City until he sold it about a year ago.  Not sure where it is now.

My assumption is that you live on Sandy Creek around the firetower area.  Am I right?  Joe lives in that area and could be seen circling

over his house.  He said the plane will swap ends on landing if you are not careful.  It felt stable as a brick to me.

I'm in Sandy Creek Estates (5th house on the right as you drive in).  I haven't seen it at the lake but there is a very similar one that gives rides in Kennesaw.  Great airplane but it definitely requires active feet to avoid ground looping it.

Used to be a man out at Pell City - Ed Stringfellow, he loved his stearman and T-6 but had a special place with his P51 till the FAA got wind of his low passes.  At one time bought a B-25 as well but it used more oil then fuel.

The P51 v12 makes a lovely sound over the house at about 500 feet - very unique.  Used to be lots of warbirds that would come visit him our at the airport kids would run outside to watch them come over.

There is nothing that sounds better than a P51 flyover.  The plane oozes power and is a beautiful thing to behold.
