if in fact the AP story proves to be true that he indirectly worked  ( a decade ago) to benefit PUTIN, should he be tried for treason ??

For what?  Are we at war with Russia?  Did he pass along military or state secrets?  Is there something new about lobbyists representing foreign interests?  The fact is this is abject nonsense meant to keep the mantra going that Trump defeated Hillary due to the Russians......despite a lack of any evidence they influenced the outcome of the election.  the FBI and NSA both debunked this in their testimony.  Does anyone think that whatever the Russians did during this election cycle is any different than any prior elections?  If they do I have some ocean front property in Arizona I would like to sell them.  This is all about politics and nothing more.

I will leave that for a judge and jury to decide.  It all depends on what he did, did he report it properly etc.  I will leave the calls for investigations, charges of treason, impeachment, and other insantity to others.

I think it will take a lot to prove treason, wihle he did work for someone with Russian interests, was it for his employers benifit or Putins?, Putin ended his 2nd presidential term in 2008, barred from a 3rd term by their own constitution, and came back in 2012 -

Did he also have a crystal ball to see the future of Russian political landscape almost 10 years into the future?  If so I would like to borrow it to help my 401K.

OK, I need to let it out!   My vote in the 2016 election was persuaded by Russian developments and interests.  I believed that a candidate in our election colluded with Russian officials, and as a result, paved the way for Russian to purchase 1/3 or 1/5 or 1/something of our Uranium.  And that candidate's foundation benefited greatly.

OK, there it is.  Russia affected my vote!

Glad you feel better   lol , only problem is Hillary / Obama administration allowed the sale of Uranuim to Russia, and yes i got the sarcasm.

Only thing affecting my vote was the other choice *shudder*  I dont care if he looks like a oompa loompa, birth by alians from space, created in a petri dish - anything but Hillary.

I agree with MM.  I think this is nothing more than smoke and mirrors on the part of Democrats.  They haven't got anything else, so they will keep harping on this.  Do they not know that for some time now we have been in a global economy, and that means doing business with other countries.  Russia is another country.  I'm so tired of this.
