All Trump said, why was there a civil war?  And couldn't something other than war be done (i'm paraphrasing).  The man thinks "outsided the box" and he looks at things from different angles.  As we all know, the Civil War wasn't about the morality of keeping slaves - it was about States' rights and economics.  He questions conventional wisdom and I like that in a President.  He just sometimes thinks out loud and the media and Democrats rush to criticize him, but if you listen closely he was thinking about it from another angle.  I think that is pretty smart.

Oh, and I watched the interview with Trump and the Face the Nation guy(senior moment on name).  Yes, Trump did end the interview abruptly when the wiretapping was brought up.  They were standing in his office, he was talking about the desk, the pictures, and about the effect of the Oval office on visitors.  And out of the blue, he was blindsided by a bunch of questions about wiretapping.  It had nothing to do with what they were talking about a second before.  Last time I checked, when it's your office you decide the agenda and you decide when the meeting is over.  It was a media cheap shot.

One other interesting thing - Trump keeps two chairs in front of his desk.  He apparently doesn't go in for the "we're all equal" style of discussions in his office, settling on the couch.    Putting the desk between him and visitors to his office is a show of authority.  I like that too.

I like Trump.  What can I say?  He doesn't pretend he is not in charge, he says what he thinks, and he doesn't rely on conventional wisdom.

Andrew Jackson (quotes are Trump's words) "was really angry that he saw what was happening with regard to the Civil War". Sadly, Jackson died 16 years before the Civil War started.

Guess he was a businessman like Trump. A wheeler and dealer. He was also the founder of the Democratic party.

"The primary crop was cotton, grown by enslaved workers. Starting with nine slaves, he held as many as 44 by 1820 and later held up to 150 slaves, making him among the planter elite. Throughout his lifetime Jackson may have owned as many as 300 slaves.

I'm sure you are quoting your beloved Maxine Waters.  Right?

Yep, he had his dates messed up.  But that is besides the point.

Sorta' like his great relationship with Pavarotti, who died in 2007? (Quotes are accurate..."Friend of mine, great friend of mine.")

Maybe they were friends or at least acquaintences.  Think about this - how would you be if everything you uttered was scrutinized and analyzed for mistakes.  The thing people don't get about Trump is that he is a strategic thinker, not a tactical one, so the details don't necessarily matter to him.  He makes connections that others may not make.  How do I know this?  Because I am very much the same way.  Details really don't matter to me - there are plenty of detail oriented people around to correct me and keep the detail straight.  We need both kinds of people in the world.  Because so often the detail people can't see the bigger picture.  I guess you voted for Hilary.
