You all know that I like Trump.  Was on board with him from the begining.  But someone needs to disable his Twitter account.  He sent a Tweet out that said Comey better not have any tapes of their meetings, which will lead people to conclude that pershaps something was said that might be embarassing if recorded.  Someone needs to tell Trump that when you fnd yourself in a hole, stop digging.

Hound, I actually agree with you.  I was not on the Trump train but did vote for him.  I initially liked his tweeting because he could bypass the media filter on everything and get his message directly to the American people.  But he needs to get this under control because all he does is provide fodder for the media and the left to flog him and keep issues alive and kicking more than is already going to happen given their derangement.  If he is going to use Twitter it needs to be very well thought out as part of their overall communication strategy. Unfortunately, I haven't been too impressed with their communication program so far.  Lacks messaging discipline and coordination.  I think our President is getting a tour de force in the dysfunction of our federal government.

I think you are missing the point with his use of Twitter.  I believe he sees it as a way to get his message out without going through the govt media complex which is overwhelmingly left wing and controls the Democrat party.  The problem in my view is a lack of a cohesive communications strategy where Twitter, if used properly, can be a useful tool.  That is something they need to get fixed.

I do think he is getting a life lesson in the challenge of applying business concepts to an out of control federal govt behemoth.  CEO's are likewise used to getting what they want because they are CEO.  Didn't work that way as it doesn't work in the fed'l govt where you have civil servants that know he will only be there for 4 or 8 years and they can't be fired.  Draining the swamp is easier said than done, like most hard things in life.   Well worth it but it will take time and he has more of that.  Let's hope things improve as lots of good things have happened already.

As for the Russian thing, who cares who puts a picture up first.  That is really petty stuff but if it makes you happy and self righteous have at it.  We'll continue to bask in the glow of Neil Gorsuch and the coming replacement of Anthony Kennedy with a strict constructionist.  Then we will really have a 5-4 constitutionalst vs internationalist court.  That will be a good thing indeed.

While special committees are being formed and everyone has a sound bite and conspiracy theories abound, no governing is taking place.  Democrats are not working on legislation to solve the domestic issues that they are sure are in such need of attention, Republicans can't decide if Trump is a genius or a heathen.  Is the Senate looking at the new Health care bill. 

No matter which side of the aisle you like, nothing is getting done, except special committees and hearings.  Meanwhile, nothing that would have a meaningful impact to our country is being worked.  And that should upset everyone.  Because we pay their salaries to get things done, not to go on witch hunts.  Americans should be concerned, but not about Russia or Flynn or any of that other stuff.  Americans should be about things getting done.

I think Comey is screwed as well - on 5/3 there is a recording of him UNDER OATH that he said no one had asked for the investigation to be shut down, but the memo was written the day after Flynns stepped down back in Feburary???But if we are to believe this memo that exists and means what the D's say since no one has actually outside of the FBI has actually seen the memo and only Comey can explain what he may or may not have written - he lied under oath, to a congressional hearing, did not report it... soooooo lets get Comey up to testify sounds to me that he can stand by his testimoney on 5/3 or face criminal charges himself.
