Great news.....there's a new barbecue joint coming to the Lake/Dadeville area on Hwy 49 South in the old Mims building. I met with the owners and they are looking to open in a week or two. I talked with Willie, the Pit Master, and he really knows his stuff when it comes to smokin' the pork. More news to come.

THat place was filthy nasty when I was in it years ago. It had an open sewer line they were just burying in the floor. I wouldn't feed my dog anything that comes out of it. The landlord is a worthless excuse for a human also. I'm not talking about the father but the son he lets run it. Best of luck to them but I won't be darkening the door.

The couple that is opening the BBQ restaurant are nice people.  We have shopped numerous times at their farmers market and look forward to the opening.  They have gone out of their way to assist my wife in selecting plants and supplies and their vegetables have been very good

  I'm sure everything you said is true, but still am not going to eat anything from there. The folks made a poor selection on a location. I hate it for them. If history is is a predictor of future events as soon as they start to realize any success the "landlord" will start demanding more rent.

  Yes it is the old moms building. Has had several tenants since then. One actually did good business but left because of the "landlord".

wish some joint would open down in the Red Hill//kowaliga area; been trying to get Oscars here to no avail; i have a nice commercial building right on hwy 63 with good parking that would make a nice restraunt location
