News from the Right:

President Trump's charity foundation funneled $100,000 in donations meant for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital into revenue for the Trump Organization by using his son's charity, Forbes reported Tuesday.

For 10 years Eric Trump hosted an annual golf tournament that raised millions of dollars in donations for the hospital. According to the Forbes report, $100,000 of the donations was funneled through the Eric Trump Foundation back into Trump's golf courses for expenses incurred during the tournaments, despite donors being told that all their money would be used for charity.

In addition, more than $500,000 of donors' money over 10 years was re-donated to other charities, including some that were connected to Trump family members. At least four of those organizations also used Trump golf courses for charity tournaments.

According to the report, President Trump himself gave the order for the Trump Organization to begin billing the Eric Trump Foundation for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

If the report is true, the practices would violate both New York state law and federal law on self-dealing and misleading donors. To date, Eric Trump has raised more than $11 million for St. Jude's hospital.

In December, President Trump announced plans to dissolve his charitable foundation in order to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest. But New York's attorney general said that was impossible until a criminal probe of the charity was completed.

"The Trump Foundation is still under investigation by this office and cannot legally dissolve until that investigation is complete,” Amy Spitalnick, a spokeswoman for New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, said in a statement to The Hill in December.

Goofy, apparently you have never been involved in a charity golf event.  It is SOP for the charity to compensate the venue.  So when I pay for a foursome to participate in a charitable golf event I recognize that a portion of those funds go to the course that hosts the event. Apparently you and the moron that wrote this article don't understand how this works.

So instead of celebrating the $11M Trump's son has raised for charity you and the author suffering from TDS decide to focus on the $100K they paid to the golf course.  How petty of both of you..........

"despite donors being told that all their money would be used for charity." Is this the part you consider fsake???

You consider ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NYT, and W. POST to be "fake news". Now, you are adding FORBES. Can you  provide me those you consider "real news" so I know where to get real news?

Sigh.....those are just words written down by some ignoramous author doing a hit piece.  Here's a hint, fake news is just words written by some ignoramous author.  As one that has donated to numerous charity golf events I know that a portion of the money I give them goes to the venue hosting the tournament.  This is not rocket science.  This is not new.  And this is not a problem.....except for those suffering from TDS.

Geez, you think you would have been more upset about the tens of millions in donations the Clinton's used for their own personal benefit.  Instead you are whining about them paying the venue a lousy $100K.  This is fake news....period.

You made your point in your first  response. Where do you get your real news.

All sorts of places but when I read something I actually use critical thinking to examine something and say to myself, "OK, I like this story because it supports my worldview or is harmful to someone I don't like politically / I don't like it.... but does it actually ring true and make sense."  If it passes that smell test then I then ask whether the author has some axe to grind or has a history of being overly negative or adverse to the subject so they can't be trusted.  Are there other stories or views that counter this author's spin and do they make sense?

It's all about critical thinking as opposed to mindlessly quoting some stupid article that was written by an author that is either clueless, has an axe to grind (Never Trumper) or a bit of both.  So give that a try and maybe you wouldn't be so quick to cut and paste something just because it feeds your TDS beast.  This one didn't pass the first test for reasons stated previously.

There are lots of articles I've read that were critical of Trump that passed all tests and it confirms something I already knew about him. He is not perfect, he has certain issues that concern, bother and annoy me........you know, pretty much like every politician.  But at the end of the day he isnn't Hillary and that is a real blessing.....at least for me.  I get it that you feel the opposite and understand that.  But try to find substantive issues to pillory him with and you will be more credible.  For example, had you shared an article critical of the Trump administration for their slowness is adding staff and nominating lower court judges I would agree wholeheartedly.  But this kind of crap about paying his golf course to host a charity event is petty and immaterial to the real issues we face, not to mention just plain dumb.

Let's move beyond the Tiny Dick Syndrome(TDS) and give me a list of a few publications that I can read to get the real news. Thanks.

You are still wanting to be spoonfed, GF, and MM is trying to break the habit.  THINK CRITICALLY.  That is what schooling was for, to teach us to think on our feet, to analyze, consider the source, know the bias.  You should go by the following motto

"Believe less than half of what you read on the internet"  Abraham Lincoln

My thought process is not as developed as yours and MM. I am more of a simple thinker who continues to ask a simple question....what is your source for real news??? I can only assume it is the same as mine.

I can understand anyone supporting Trump being very defensive these days.

A good start for your reading material will be to ditch everything you currently read.  It's quite obvious you love being spoon fed simpleton, liberal krap written for mindless dimokraps.  Journalism is dead.  Nothing is written today without a motive....by either side.

I posted my Offensive the other day.  And I forgot to mention two of Trumps major accomplishment 1. appt of Gorsuch and 2. Hillary is not president.  All else pales.

You assume I have some favorite publication that I go to for my news.  That is for the narrow minded looking for confirmation bias.  I am way more open minded than those suffering from Trunp Derangement Syndrome.
