Why don't Seniors who voted for Trump ever complain about being covered under  Single Payer government subsidized Medicare? Why don't those not old enough for Medicare complain that their parents are covered under Single Payer medical insurance. Why?????????? simple because it works and saves their lives  and their loved ones. A bunch of hypocrites.

If the vote was to implement Medicare, the Right would be the party of NO.

The Right wants vouchers so Seniors can go into the market to buy coverage. They can control their own fate. But, the Right complains about the big bad insurance companies. But, the bad insurance companies are looking for a profit. So, what is it single payer or profit for the insurance companies??????

Goofy, plenty of seniors complain about Medicare.  I could tell you all my Mom's horror stories but I'll spare you the gory details.  But the essence of it is that at this point in time they simply have no other option.  Because of the existence of the program they have no private insurer options for their basic health insurance.

But if it is so great, why do a vast majority of them have to buy supplemental insurance through AARP and other sources?!?!?  I'll tell you why.  Because it sucks, doctors and hospitals only take so many Medicare patients because the reimbursements are so low, take forever to get paid and require 12 people to file all the paperwork, etc.  You act like they have a choice and just love their single payer Medicare program.  Honestly Goofy, I like you but sometimes you post really dumb stuff.  Yopu really need to think before you rant.

It's not true that MD's can stop accepting new Medicare patients any time they choose, but they can stop accepting ANY new patients.... they can't selectively refuse those with Medicare.    There are a relative few MD's who refuse Medicare patients.    On the other hand, they can decline Medicaid patients and many do because of low reimbursement rates.

Yes, it takes a staff of people to file insurance claims.   This is because there are so many different policies (Medicare and Commercial policies) and you have to have staff familiar with the complex details of each of them.... the fact tht there is so much variablity in the way claims are processed is one of the largest wastes in the system, IMO.      The administrative costs of filing and paying claims in the insurance industry means that 50% of each premium dollar goes to pay for these administrative costs, not healthcare services.   I think that's where a Single Payer system would start to find it's cost savings.   Uniform coverages, uniform guidelines for processing.

A single payer plan would make claim processes uniform and require fewer people to file claims and refile rejected claims.

Your mother is free to use 100% commericial medical insurance, or pay cash and not use Medicare.    Why are you forcing her to suffer by using socialized medicine with substandard care?   Forget Medicare, write a check.   The MD & Hospital will appreciate it, she will get her health care and you will feel better.

Your comment is much more STUPID than the GOOF-IDIOT's.....didn't think anyone could reach that level of STUPID, but you did!!  WOW. Have you ever used or read an ICD coding book?  Da gubment just instituted the ICD-10 coding for diagnosis and billing and it has created havoc in the industry.....mind you this is how billing and for doctors or hospitals to get paid this coding has to be perfect.....make a mistake and no $$$$.  Not only that, have you heard of DRG....diagnosis related groupings.....which is the treatment and billing for inpatients.  Wonder why folks are sent home sick....because DRGs says patient X's hospital will only be paid if patient X stays in the hospital so many days.....after that hospital throws patient in the street .   NO Gubment $$$$....get outta my hospital.  Don't blame paperwork on commercial insurance,  most use ICD coding from gubment.  Why do Canadians come to US for major care.....cause they can't get good care under the Canadian gubment single pay system.  Copperkrap. You're embarrassing yourself with your ignorance.

My point is simple the CONCEPT of government single payer insurance. I don't recall you ranting over single payer for you. Forget the cost just the CONCEPT dude. You love the coverage.... 100% with the supplement.

If you live in Dadeville and paying $7,000 for you and wife.....you must have a plan where the rate increases based on your current age and  claims for the group. AARP(only for Liberals) is around $115/month per person and only increases basesd on claims. The AARP premium is for someone who entered at age 65 and is now aged 65-120. For 2, around $2.800. Do you have Medicare Advantage and not the Medicare Supplement?

“But if it is so great, why do a vast majority of them have to buy supplemental insurance through AARP and other sources?!?!?  I'll tell you why.  Because it sucks……….”

Medicare is 2 parts. Part A is Hospital coverage and Part B is for Physician and Lab work. Part A has a $1,316 deductible for each Hospital stay and Part B pays 80% of the Medicare reduced charges after an annual deductible of $183.

The SUPPLEMENT is simply to cover the Hospital deductible and the 20% coinsurance under Part B. With the SUPPLEMENT, you have 100% coverage.

You need to check your facts before you rant as your church education let you down again buddy.

As usual you are wrong.  There are several different supplemental plans and only plan F pays 100% for hospital and out patient.  And it covers 100% nationwide....I believe BC reduces payment outside their primary state, especially for advantage plans, which I don't think are good in the long run.

Not true. They all have a deductible of $1,316 if you are hospitalized. Has nothing to do with Emergency. Emergency has no deductible. But being admitted has the deductible which is covered by the supplement. Hit on benefits and see where you are wrong. SEE DEDUCTIBLE for Room and Board. This is picked up by your supplement.

Why are you paying so much? AARP charges in zip 36853 $135/mnth.

I already knew that. Ask me how much I spend every year on my Mom's meds because of the incredibly stupid donut hole.  Tell me how that coverage helps her get the doctor she wants when so many are not accepting any new Meidicare patients.  Tell me how that coverage gives her any choices in her health insurance.  Answer is they don't.  How about giving us a choice?  How about allowing the individual to buy their own insurance or pay into Medicare their whole life and then get their lousy coverage.  And tell me how all this will fix the pending bankruptcy of Medicare as it is wildly underfunded.

Single payer in the U.S. is not the answer. If you want to see what single payer will be look at the VA because all that means is every doctor and hospital will become a govt contractor/employee.  Yeah, the VA really gives me comfort in single payer.  And besides, even the left wing nuts in California have figured out they can't do single payer......it's too expensive.  Well duh!  Apparently they have figured out something completely unknown to you.

Geez, you are mentally slow.  I said "only" Plan F pays everything.  I have had Plan F for several years....I investigated, I know.  Go to your wonderful website and look at Plan A thru Plan G and you will see restrictions.....read man, read.

Did you just lie like Trump to try and make a point?????? I thought the Far Right was too perfect for that.

As to the donut hole, a multi millionaire like you is complaining about the $3,000 donut hole. Give me a break dude.

My mom passes in 2005 which was before Medicare D. Her prescriptions were costing $1,300 per month.

Thanks to Obamacare, in 2020 the donut hole percent will be reduced to 25% and then the Cat benefit of 5%.

It seems that almost every post you have made over the last few weeks keys on the word "lie". Are you so obsessed with someone lying that you can't think in any other terms? I have asked you at least three times or possibly four to tell us what Obama accomplished during his eight years as President. So far I have heard nothing.  Some very interesting information has surfaced recently about information that Obama knew about but failed to take any action on which should make it even harder for you to respond. He has done one big "flip flop". The Washington Post reported on Friday that Obama knew in August that Russia was waging an extraordinary cyberwar on the U.S. presidential campaign. The Obama administration did not publicly acknowledge all of this until after the election, in December. On October 18th Obama said "there is no serious person out there who could even "suggest"  that  somehow you could even 'rigg" America's elections, and so I find Mr. Trump should stop his whining". So much of more of his "lies" to the American people.

Sure, my Mom is blessed to have someone with the resources to pay for her medications.  But what about the tens of millions of seniors who don't?  Geez Goofy, you are the poster child for the mean spirited left wing nut that would prefer bigger and more powerful govt regardless of who gets hurt.  Where is your compassion for them?  This entire thread is probably the most disgusting one you have had in a long time.  Your slavish devotion to govt has blinded you to the truth.  That is really sad.  And by the way, there's no need to shout.

"Sure, my Mom is blessed to have someone with the resources to pay for her medications.  But what about the tens of millions of seniors who don't?"

The Right has an eaasy solution....let them die. Or............they can apply for Medicaid and become a dual eligible. They are then covered by Medicare and Medicaid and are not  subject to the donut hole in prescription coverage. This is a program the Right may eliminate when they begin to kick the poor off Medicaid..

As I posted, Obamacare will eliminate the donut hole in 2020 unless the Republicans eliminate it.

You seem to like big government when it can save you money.

Obama's statement that  "no serious person out there who could even 'suggest' that somehow you could even 'rigg' America's elections corresponds very closely to when he told FOX News that "there was not even a 'smidgen' of corruption" behind the Internal Revenue Service's targeting of conservative groups". "There were some boneheaded decisions" he said. " Not even mass corruption. Not even a smidgen of corruption". He said to Bill O'Reilly, "These kind of things keep on surfacing because you and your TV station wiil promote them". This is a" laugh" when you consider all of the "fake" news being spread throughout all news media sources.

No Goofy, the right isn't for anyone dying.  That is such an old, worn out and ineffective response of the left when presented with an alternate solution to an issue like health insurance without the all powerful federal govt, which does almost nothing very well, being in charge.  We believe in personal responsibility, having freedom to choose, allowing markets to work the way they should, having govt involved when and where they should but always at the lowest possible level (subsidiarity), etc.  You believe in bigger and more powerful govt.  Difference of opinion...one based on delusional faith in government and emotion, the other based on facts, logic and reason and an understanding of history.

Obamacare has been a disaster and will only get worse and the only ones to blame for that are the Democrats (just ask the people in all but two counties in Nevada that now have no option for coverage in the individual market).  Any solutions proposed by the GOP will improve things but due to the need for reconciliation will not result in the full repeal of Obamacare.  Don't think I have any illusions that Medicare isn't here to stay.  That is a sad reality and no Republicans are calling for elminating it.  They are trying to reform it so that it will once again be solvent......but its hard to do when idiots on the left and in the govt media use the nonsense about conservatives wanting people to die.  It is stupid, intellectually lazy and frankly perfect evidence that you can't argue the merits of your position.

"We believe in personal responsibility"

Then, why are you bitchin about helping your mom pay for the donut hole? The donut hole is a perfect example of personal responsibillity. You just like to spit out the standard Right Wing crap but want big government to pay your mom's donut hole.

Just be honest!

Can you point out where Martini was saying he wanted the Government to pay for the donut hole?  He said how about giving people a choice vs holding a gun to their head when they are forced to go into Medicare.

Now if we can get a government study to look at the hole in your head .. well even then I would not want the fed involved, The librards would probably want to call the donut hole between your ears a national monument due to its size.

Let me be perfectly honest, if it weren't for me my Mom would not be able to pay for her meds you mindless twit.  That is my entire point. I am not bitching about having to pay it, I am pointing out the absurdity of Medicare and that it has all sorts of flaws, is bankrupt and is the only alternative for those over 65.  Unlike most left wing nuts who would rather suckle the govt teet at someone else's expense I am actually doing something.  And believe me, if my Mom had some other option I would gladly pay for that insurance......but she doesn't does she?

You seem to think conservatives are hypocrites for using the program even though they have no choice and paid into the system their entire working lives.  Well they have no frigging choice because of libtards like you.  If they had a choice and took Medicare then maybe you would have a leg to stand on but they don't.  Join the real world Goofy......
