If President Trump's nominee for FBI director is confirmed by the Senate, the Democratic National Committee could face an investigation into its interactions with the Ukrainian government.

During his confirmation hearing on Wednesday, Christopher Wray signaled a willingness to investigate allegations that the DNC worked with the Ukrainian government to impede Trump's presidential campaign in 2016.

Former United Nations Ambassador Samantha Power's involvement in the unmasking by former Obama administration officials of sensitive national security information is raising red flags over what insiders view was an attempt by the former administration to undermine President Donald Trump and key figures on his team, according to current and former U.S. officials familiar with the situation.

Power appears to be central to efforts by top Obama administration officials to identify individuals named in classified intelligence community reports related to Trump and his presidential transition team, according to multiple sources.

The House Intelligence Committee has reportedly issued seven subpoenas in connection with its investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election and of the Obama administration’s potentially illegal use of the government’s foreign-intelligence-collection power for the purpose of monitoring Americans — in particular, Americans connected to the Trump campaign and transition.

In pushing its Manchurian-candidate-Trump narrative, the media fail to mention the much deeper ties of Democratic lobbyists to Russia. Don’t worry, the media seems to say: Even though they are representing Russia, the lobbyists are good upstanding citizens, not like the Trump people. They can be trusted with such delicate matters

The media’s focus on Trump’s Russian connections ignores the much more extensive and lucrative business relationships of top Democrats with Kremlin-associated oligarchs and companies. Thanks to the Panama Papers, we know that the Podesta Group (founded by John Podesta’s brother, Tony) lobbied for Russia’s largest bank, Sberbank. “Sberbank is the Kremlin, they don’t do anything major without Putin’s go-ahead, and they don’t tell him ‘no’ either,” explained a retired senior U.S. intelligence official. According to a Reuters report, Tony Podesta was “among the high-profile lobbyists registered to represent organizations backing Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich.” Among these was the European Center, which paid Podesta $900,000 for his lobbying.

That’s not all: The busy Podesta Group also represented Uranium One, a uranium company acquired by the Russian government which received approval from Hillary Clinton’s State Department to mine for uranium in the U.S. and gave Russia twenty percent control of US uranium. The New York Times reported Uranium One’s chairman, Frank Guistra, made significant donations to the Clinton Foundation, and Bill Clinton was paid $500,000 for one speech from a Russian investment bank that has “links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.”  Notably, Frank Giustra, the Clinton Foundation’s largest and most controversial donor, does not appearanywhere in Clinton’s “non-private” emails. It is possible that the emails of such key donors were automatically scrubbed to protect the Clinton Foundation.

Let’s not leave out fugitive Ukrainian oligarch, Dymtro Firtash. He is represented by Democratic heavyweight lawyer, Lanny Davis, who accused Trump of “inviting Putin to commit espionage” (Trump’s quip: If Putin has Hillary’s emails, release them) but denies all wrongdoing by Hillary.

Next few years is gonna be fun  I thnk GFY is going to regret that the Russian investigation got started because we already have Comey admitting Clinton commited actual crimes, just not "intent" which was not his place - should not take much to pick that "matter" back up and lots of other D investigations started/starting.

Personally I will wait on any actual evidence before I squeeling like a little GFY piggie.  So far all of his other breathless posts have not come true - still waiting on the impeachment that might actually have a chance to go somwehere, going to have to get a lot of Republicans to cross over.

I posted PARDON. Nothing posted about impeachment. This LIL PGGIE knows the difference between Pardon and Impeachment. Does the BIG PIG know the difference?

I know you agree that if Trump PARDONS  Trump Jr, Manafort, Flynn,  and Kurschner it is because they are guilty. Glad we can agree on something.

I have no problem if some Dems are investigated and tried. Damn boy, it someone is quilty they deserve to serve time.

Oh dont know if you have heard but the wasserman / house D's IT staff have fled to Pakistan, and after Wasserman changed his title and put him back on payroll after they were caught stealing and hacking into the house intelligence committies computers.  Only the guilty skip the country instead of facing an investigation into email security violations, hacking, stealing, kidnappings, accessing top secret files  and possibly blackmail.  Wasserman rehired after he was terminated, changed his title and put him right back to work  and Wasserman threatened Capitol Police on camera.  OMG please run her as your next canidate.

And if she pardons herself - it is basically the same as admiting guilt.  Nixon considered it and decided to resign instead.  

If she does pardon herself, with a long history of presidents not having done so - she will further unravel the fabric or our democracy and basically be personally responsible for civil war Part 2.

If it is unAmerican to question our election system, if it is unAmerican to question if it is rigged or not - then I would have to say that is she does pardon herself that too would have to unAmerican and that would be one of the lines in the sand that would cause me to take up arms against my own country.

It is bad enough that most politicans are never held accountable for their actions - but to legally excuse themselves from any punishments would basically be showing us that there is really two classes of people - those who can get away with it and the rest of us little people.  This would add weight to us no longer being a country of laws and I think would be one of the many death nails in the coffin that formally was known as the USA.

Classified, if you are correct explain how President Ford was able to pardon Nixon for crimes he MIGHT HAVE committed against the US?

The fact is that the House never voted Articles of Impeachment because Nixon resigned. There were NO charges when he resigned. Ford pardoned him for what he MIGHT HAVE committed so the country could move on.

The bottom line is Obama could pardon her tomorrow or anytime until he leaves office for crimes she might have committed against the US. He cannot pardon her for future crimes.

As President, she could pardon herself.
