Just heard THe Mooch has been removed from his position. Is this Fake News or just another example of Trump and his vetting? Don't mess with Kelly........... And The Mooch lost his wife to a divorce because of his love for Trump.

11 days, profanity, and he is gone. Great confidence in the President's vetting.

Even Buteye has to be confused.

i think what you are seeing is Gen Kelly's influence already at the WH.  Scaramucci was a liability, but he served a purpose of getting rid a Spicer and Priebus.  What I read said he may be offered a lower profile job, but it isn't clear that he would accept a lesser job.  Well, at least he may be able to save his marriage.

Ar other example of Trump's ineptitude.

I really think he should be required to keep staff on board AT LEAST long enough for Saturday Night Live to develop their impersonations.

Maybe 2 weeks on the job for the next one?

4D Chess CL.  Mission accomplished with Mooch ridding Trump of his closet establishment types like Spicer and Priebus, while still allowing them to save face.  Kelly now controlling the battlefield.  I, quite frankly, like a revolving door at the WH.  Not enough time for anyone or group to become entrenched in power.  Keep them always looking over their shoulder wondering if they are next.

No, I think we have to reject the idea that this is all part of some incredibly intelligent & complex management strategy by D Trump.

It's just chaos.

That's not a plan.

If you are right and it has been less than well organized and executed, what better solution than a proven leader who has no problem "kicking ass and taking names"?

If you served in the military you will understand exactly what I mean.

I definitely agree that Gen. Kelly will be a step in the right direction.....toward some sort of White House that actually accomplishes it's basic day to day operations.     The problem will come if / when Trump continues to be so erratic & impulsive.  I suspect you don't get to be a four star general by suffering fools lightly, and he will have his hands full with Trump and his family.

How good are retired four star Generals at baby-sitting?

I strongly believe that Kelly had some goround rules he discussed with the President before taking the job.  The first is that everyone works for him and he will decide what is important for the Pres to see.  I believe Ivanka and her husband will always be able to go directly to Trump, but on the surface they are subject to the same rules as all, so the narrative will remain that Kelly is the single conduit to POTUS.

I'm sure you are right about that.  Kelly would not have been foolish enough to take this job without establishing some ground rules that would enable him to function.   The problem, as I see it, is that Trump is inherently undisciplined and so self-assured that he hasn't taken the advice of his advisors before...he undercuts them & impulsively changes direction leaving them to make explanations for him.

It's extremely ironic, but I feel better knowing there is a highly trained military man serving as Chief of Staff right now.   I am really fearful about the immediate risks with North Korea and have absolutely no confidence in Trump's judgement.   Kelly, and men like him, may be the last and most important check on Trump's behavior when a true crisis erupts.

Just read a piece in the Montgomery paper, written by AP, that indicates Kelly indeed had a CTJ meeting with Trump before accepting the CoS assignment.  It also stated that Kelly and Mattis, in the early days of the Trump administration, agreed that one of the two would always be in the country to keep an eye on things.  Reassuring that senior patriots like these two are in leadership positions rather than some political hack.

I had an amusing thought - will these two former generals arrange a take over, if they think Trump gets too far off the rails?

Understand that Trump wants to fire the Commander in Afghanistan, because he doens't think we are "winning", but the former Generals think he is excellent and the problem is that we don't have the right strategy.  The Pentagon is supposed to come back with a new stratgey, but they haven't thus far.  They have some of the finest minds in the military working on the problem, and it raises a question in my mind that perhaps there is no winning strategy and the best thing we can do is pull our troops and come home.

War is not PC - Our military is the best at what they do when unshackled from regulation and no this does not mean they should be free to rape and pillage and do things that are against military rules/codes of conduct already in place.  Bus as Hodja said waiting on someone thousands of miles away to give the OK to do their job in a war zone does not make sense.
