I looked thru all the postings, so I have a list of all the recommended contractors for remodels - but have 2 questions...

1. Any contractors specific to kitchen remodels - since that is the first area I think I am going to tackle over the next 3 years.
2. Any interior design and/or remodeling designers you could recommend to help with re-designing a room or an area of the house.  I have looked at my plans and I have some ideas on possible floor plan adjustments I would like to make - but am looking for another eye on that and also someone to help me pick out the interior design since I am lacking in that skill.   I do have some ideas and pictures - but to then take that to the next level of picking it out and ball park cost estimations to stay on a budget - need some help there.

I highly recommend Ray Berry (256-596-1360) for your remodel. He did our Kitchen about a year and a half ago and did a wonderful job from the first day till the last day. If you need to see Ray's work, you are welcome to come visit our home and view our kitchen remodel. We're in the Sandy Creek area near Dadeville. Whoever you pick, make sure you see some of their past work/remodels. Good Luck.

  Maddox gave excellent tips. Whoever you choose make sure you meet a  outlet of his prior  lines and actually see the work. Don't trust pics or phone calls, both can be fraudulent. I am jot saying anyone I particular would do that,. I am speaking in general terms. I know people that looked at a contractors pictures and then supposedly spoke with the client on the phone. Both were fake. Halfway through the job that was already twice as long as the estimate they had reason to swap phone numbers with one of the workers. The client thought he recognized the number and checked his call logs and discovered that was the same number he called for the reference. People and pics can both lie.

Eddie Penton is the best. You will have to wait on him but it is worth it.
