i have a wench mounted to the concrete floor of the boat house that pulls my ski nautique up a pretty steep that I installed in the 90's mounted on a one inch steel plate.  I am worried that the four bolts that hold it to the concrete may have weakened of time.  No evidence of that but I want someone who can weld two plates on each side with two more bolts into the concrete to ease my mind.  So need someone to get to steel planes, drill two holes in each, set bolts in the concrete and then weld the plates to the steel plate.  Any ideas on who could do that with no big rush?  Thanks in advance.

I would recommend Danny Moncrief 256-794-5198. He has done special steel projects, painting, concrete work, plumbing, brick, etc. He welds, taps steel, etc. Reliable, does a great job and is reasonable.

Ease your mind and use stainless bolts in concrete as anchor bolts.  Concrete is rough on reg carbon steel.

Thanks wix.  I can't remember if I used stainless but worry that the concrete walls allow rain in so that the plate gets wet periodically.  I may be overly cautious but don't need it to turn loose with a shi nautique and trailer attached! Lol.

Another thought, since boat is on a trailer.  Quick fix would be to put wheel chocks behind the trailer wheels and lighten up the tension on the winch.  You could do same even if trailer is on rails.
