Just heard from a friend in Charleston.  He alerted me to the fact Hurricane Irma is now predicted to make a beeline to the Georgia - South Carolina coast Monday.  He and his two girls will evacuate and head for our lake cabin on Friday.  If you have any family or friends in the area make sure they know about the National Hurricane Center web site, which has the latest status and predicted path.

Don't jump the gun, Bubba.  Looks like we'll get the breeze, not Charleston.....stay tuned.

Be prepared.  Tie your furniture down.  Bring plants and outdoor decorations inside.  Take this seriously.  You can probably plan on losing power, so get you generator out and test it.  Stay safe.

Friend in Charleston and I watched the NHC site carefully and indeed he did not come.  Comment was "if I am not in the ice cream cone I am staying put", LOL
