Have you checked any of the websites like "Rover.com" (there are more) that supposedly has screened people in the area for pet sitting. 

It might also help if you give people an idea of the general area of the lake where you live. 

I keep saying, this would be a great business for someone who wanted to start their own business and had some initiative. (I'm 62, so my initiative for starting businesses is nil).  I had a friend in Missouri who started a pet sitting business and she couldn't keep up with the demand.
