Well, I've gone from a swarm to almost nothing.  I have stragglers. I must say I miss them, though I don't miss making nectar daily.  Look forward to March....March 28, 2017 was when I saw my first hummer!

Same - temps late in the week highs in the upper 70s - to be expected, takes more sugar to keep them running when the temps are about to drop , They fatten up and keep moving to warmer weather.

We still have 20-30.  Walked out on the porch early this morning, and all I could hear was them chirping and the hum of their wings.  I wonder if the hurricanes are keeping them from moving on.  We're still refilling the feeders twice a day.

Home is in Opelika. We had the swarms yesterday, but not today.  A few stragglers showed up today. They are headed south.  Look forward to seeing them in March.

We've only got a few regulars at our place near the Little Steel Bridge. Maybe I need to sweeten the pot a bit or put out more than our 2 feeders. What ratio sugar to water are y'all using? Does that ratio need to change around this time of year in preparation for their trip south? We love watching those little guys!
