Anyone know what is burning over by the Rocks? I can't get a bead on an exact location from where I am, especially with the wind, but it doesn't seem to be coming from the area of any houses. But it's a darker smoke than I would expect if it was just trees burning.

The land behind Chimney rock is burning. Part of the island the bridge to nowhere leads to in the Ridge. No houses in the area. Not sure if its a controlled burn or started by accident. There were some people there that looked like they were trying to make sure it doesn't spread.

Facebook post showed Trees/Shrubs at Chimney Rock on fire, and was asking for info.

A bit confusing, since it invents something called "Ridge Island" which is apparently even bigger than Chimney Rock Island.

The fire is being called an accident, which may very well be true, but it will be interesting to see if it "conveniently" cleared some of what had already been marked off as prime real estate lots.
