I was really surprised at that one.  And the swiftness with which NBC acted.  Is it possible that they've been looking for a reason to fire him?  They've still got to do something with Megan Kelly, since her show is tanking in the ratings.  

It will be interesting to hear the details.

Rumor has it that Vanity fair and someone else had been working on a story detailing his actions for weeks.  Do not think NBC had much choice in the current climate.

and his low ratings didnt help them to decide to keep him.

I just read that the woman had complained to NBC management before, but was blown off by the powers.  Guess when she showed up in their office with a lawyer and a lawsuit that lays out the charges, they decided it was time to take seriously.  

It was well known within the company that he cheated on his wife on a regular basis and they lived seperate lives.  She lives in the Hamptons and he lives in teh city.  She has filed for divorce twice, but ended up withdrawing.  

Interesting question:  All jokes aside (perhaps they could run for Congress?), how will they find another job after this comes up?  When you are a public person, and you are spectacularly fired for sexual misconduct, who will hire you?  And Matt Lauer has a bad reputation after th Ann Curry fiasco.  

I guess at this point, I'm wondering like everyone else who will be next.  Has ABC fired anyone yet?

he signed a 2 yr deal last year for $20 mill a year--if hes like coaches that get fired for losing records, etc. im sure NBC will pay him to go & stay away--no need to work & will make his wife happy & 'stand by her man";

Isn't that the truth?  The soul searching and sorry that they caused pain to their friends and loved ones always comes after they are caught.  Didn't say anything about the women he  exploited.  I guess he's not sorry about them.  

One common thing - some of these men are accused of "exposing" themselves to women that aren't interested.  I'm wondering about the psychology behind that.  Did they believe that "just one look" would send these women into wanton passion and want to leap into bed with them?  You think they would be afraid that the women involved might just start laughing...
