I believe you are right.  And this isn't going to stop, unless Trump puts an end to it or Trump is indicted.  I think letting this continue is risky to our country and the way other countries view our leadership.  People will scream and yell, but let them.  They'll get over it.

As more and more information comes out it is becoming increasingly clear that the Mueller investigation is hopelessly compromised.  Notice that the new FBI Director has refused to release the application to the FISA court that was used to justify the investigation into members of the Trump campaign.  The speculation is that the lead investigator (Strozk) took the Steele dossier and dressed it up as a government generated document and used it as the basis for the sureveillence.  If this is true, the Mueller investigation should be disbanded.  It is a sham investigation instigated by a partisan hack that lied to the FISA court to justify this entire mess.  And it should be followed by a special counsel to investigate the weaponization of the FBI as a partisan member of the Democrat campaign against Trump.  This is third world, banana republic stuff and is emblamatic of the corruption of the Obama administration.....as if all the other scandals did not already establish that fact.

There have been numerous people asking why can't POTUS or the Attorney General force the FBI to release the FISA application to the Congressional committee.  It always amazes me how difficult it is to get to the truth in Washington D.C.!  Maybe there is not an honest person there!!

I think this goes back to this idea that the FBI is "independent", that I don't really understand what it is supposed to mean.  They are part of the Executive Branch and as such, they are answerable to the President.  I guess J. Edgar Hoover started this idea that they are special and independent.  He used it as a political weapon.  Maybe it is time to abolish the FBI and recreate a new agency that understands it works for the President.
