I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Tavis Smiley whining about his dismissal from NPR.  I suspect he has never considered giving Trump or Roy Moore the same consideration or demand "due process" for them.  Despite the schadenfreude, his statement is completely correct in decrying the fact that mere accusations can ruin a person's life.  He is also correct that this current fad with #metoo is out of hand although it's a bit hypocritical of him to come to this realization only because it has ensnared him.

I agree that "me too" has gotten out of hand.  My fear of "me too" is going to make it very difficult for men and women to work together, bcause the men will always be afraid of being accused of something shady.

When I was young, there was a lot of good natured teasing and flirting amidst getting the job done.  It was harmless and it made the work day a lot more pleasant.  There was nothing to it.  I think about a female LTC that worked on a team with 3 guys, that worked for me.  They all traveled together and went out for a beer together when they were traveling and I never thought there might be anything improper going on.  They all were married.  They all teased each other unmericifully.  It would be a shame to think  that this current climate would end the ability of males and females to work closely together.

Why is it that the left can take any good idea and drive it into insanity.

Guess this will result in a bunch of what we wsed to call "old Maids."

You're right on. Most of today's millennials would have no idea what you are talking about if you asked them about "Old Maids".

Before I started my own corp. Iwas running a large condominium project (40+ yrs ago) as I had two sisters that were tom boys and go getters and a daughter I had no problem when hiring a couple of young girls to learn in what was at the time mostly a male dominated industry. Within 2 weeks it was apparent that all they wanted to do was flirt with the guys and we let them go. Shortly therafter I was informed that they were filing sexual discrimination charges against me and the company. Fortunatly I was with a large company that took this serious and had their attorney hire and investigator check into the 2 young ladies. As it turns out we were the 4th firm they had pulled it on the other 3 paid them off to go away. My company went to the DA and they ended up in some kind of plea deal I only offer this as an explaination as why in over 35yrs running my own company I never again hired a single woman. I had teems  of husband and wives and after some years sometimes only ended up with the wives working. What I'm getting at is the accusation leaves a stain that is hard to wash off. I was happy to teach women a trade that would have allowed them to raise a family on their own if the case arose and decided that it wasn't worth the risk. How many industries and small companies are out there that don't have the resource to fight charges that will automatically be taken as truth will follow my lead?

I have my own company as well and I never have meetings alone with female employees and never travel alone with them.  Part of it is defensive and part is avoiding the near temptation of sin.  Have seen far too many work relationships end in tragedy (divorce, sexual harassment claims, etc.).  The funny thing is no one is pillorying Pence for his rules when it comes to women in the workplace.  in fact, he is beginning to look like a genius.

But one thing is for sure.  It's not that Democrats have suddenly become prudish.  This is all about establishing a framework to impeach Trump should they get control of the House.  That is what 2018 is all about and nothing more.

Repetitive motion like that either leads to carpal tunnel or tennis elbow.

Not sure but judging from the spray pattern, I think he may have used a bump stock.
