Does anyone else dislike the plastic signs businesses nail onto trees all around the lake? To me they are an eyesore. What makes these businesses think they have a right to trash up our roadsides?

Amen.  Litter on a stick or tree.

They bother us too.  We have stopped a few times and pulled them down.  Do they really think someone is going to call based on a sign stapled to a tree?  Realtors tend to leave their signs up, long after a property sells.  It's nothing more than litter.

even as a real estate agent myself, I agree. take down the sign after the sale is over.

I thought I was the only vigilante, tdog. I've torn down a dozen or so in the real island area. I don't mess with the real estate signs or the cabin name signs. But a business should have more integrity than to illegally post all over the place. If I'm looking for a service to be done I make a point not to use the businesses that plaster their signs everywheree.

Might as well leave the Twinkle signs up; she has consistently been running for something for about 30 years now (or at least it seems that way.) Even when she's in office, she's busy running for the next one.
