When will he be charged?  According to the FBI FOIA officer that responded to the FOIA requests for the documents that Comey released to the NY Times through his professor friend they were classified.  Not a few of them, but every single one of them.  Comey has admitted to leaking them.  They contain classified information.  He does not have immunity.  When will he be charged with a crime?  Patraeus has his life ruined for sharing similar information with his girlfriend and so far nothing has happened to Comey.  This is truly banana republic stuff.

Likely because no one is asking the question.  So many believe that Comey got a bad deal when he was fired, he may as well have immunity.  And remember he said that he had leaked them purposely to a friend, in trying to get a special counsel investigation.  

And Patreus released the classified information to another person with a security clearance.  The big thing there was that she didn't have the need to know.  

There is no balance in Washington.

He was lucky he did not go to prison.  He paid a $40,000 fine and was placed on probation. He lied to the FBI...like Flynn. Will Flynn go to prision or get a sweetheart deal like Petranus since his crime appears to be just lying????

"David H. Petraeus, the former CIA director and retired four-star Army general, admitted Tuesday that he gave eight handwritten journals containing highly classified information about secret operations and identities of covert officers to his mistress in 2011 and then lied about it to the FBI.

Petraeus pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of retaining classified information. Prosecutors agreed not to charge him with more serious crimes, such as obstruction of justice and lying to the FBI, the Justice Department announced."

It is time to comb thru DC and prosecute wrong doing.  This DEM / GOP / whatever covering each others axx and above the law has got to stop.  Thrid World is a nice way to put it.

I felt at the time the reason Petreous wasn't prosecuted was because he was providing analysis and recommendations to the WH (Obamas) in war fighting strategy.  I'll bet he didn't lose his security clearance either.  I personally thought they should have gone back and reduced him in rank, and he should have gotten some jail time.  If I had done the same, when I had a clearance, my security clearance would have been pulled, and I would have been fired as a minimum.  

I agree that there is too much looking the other way, when crimes are committed by elected or prominent officials.  People are permitted to just retire quietly, way too often.
